VAT invoices and EU reverse charge

SpeedNetworking automatically issues VAT invoices compliant with Polish law and the EU reverse charge procedure.

Customer in Poland

  • With a NIP (B2B): standard 23% VAT invoice
  • Without a NIP (B2C): personal invoice with 23% VAT

Non-PL EU customer with an EU VAT ID

Reverse charge (0% VAT, annotated "reverse charge - art. 28b of the Polish VAT Act"). The EU VAT ID is validated via the VIES API before the invoice is issued.

EU customer without a VAT ID

Stripe blocks the checkout - a VAT ID is required for EU countries other than Poland.

Outside the EU

Not currently supported - planned post-MVP.

Invoicing flow

  1. The customer pays via Stripe Checkout (subscription or one-shot)
  2. Stripe webhook → an InvoiceMirror is created in our DB
  3. An async worker (django-q2) calls the wFirma API
  4. wFirma issues the invoice and returns an ID + PDF URL
  5. An email with the PDF goes to the workspace owner

Where to find invoices

Workspace → Billing → "My invoices" (local copies). PDFs are available in wFirma as the source of truth.
